Bones or no bones?

If you are on TikTok or have watched the news lately, you have probably heard of the sweetest little pug named Noodle who sometimes has no bones. Noodle’s dad @jongraz is a phenomenal human for blessing the social media world with Noodle’s presence. We all know that if it is a no-bones day, it is not a good day to take risks and we need to play it safe and probably wear soft pants. If it’s a bones day, it is time to treat ourselves and take on the day full speed ahead. Not sure who Noodle is, watch and read this news article or find his dad on TikTok!

I wanted to bring this trend into my classroom because I know my students are probably as obsessed with Noodle as I am. I created this date activity to put up in my room by my calendar. I am going to laminate them and add it as a communicative activity where we discuss if today/yesterday/tomorrow is/was/will be a bones or no bones day. I am so excited to also add this to some of my weekend chat maps for second quarter with Spanish 2.

I wanted to share these with you for free and encourage you to use this in your classroom to draw in some community building with your students. Many people are preaching to build deeper connections with students now more than ever and I hope this is a way that I can do that with my students. If anything, we at least get to use some Spanish and look at a super cute dog.

As with all free materials, please do not sell this or profit off of Noodle’s likeness. This is a completely free resource and the images are on Canva premium if you would like to adapt it. This post and website is Ad-free and I receive $0 from this post.
